The Spirit Moves

The Charismatic Movement represents one of the most significant developments in the life of the Church today. During the past decade and a half it has rapidly spread through the “mainline” denominational churches. As a result, a great deal of misunderstanding and tension has developed. Everything from devil worship to divisions in the Church has been attributed to the Holy Spirit Movement. Since there is much misunderstanding, prejudice and ignorance about the Holy Spirit Movement and the Holy Spirit moving, the following is presented which centres attention on the Biblical basis for this movement

The C9ORF72 mutation brings more answers and more questions.

The clinical, neuropsychiatric and neuroimaging features of patients who carry the important new C9ORF72 mutation are discussed in this special series of Alzheimer's Research & Therapy. First reported in November 2011, the C9ORF72 mutation is the most common mutation associated with both frontotemporal dementia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in the Western hemisphere and Europe. It is a gene with strong penetrance, and the vast majority of subjects with the C9ORF72 mutation die from a neurodegenerative condition. The most common clinical manifestation of disease in gene carriers is behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia. An extremely long hexanucleotide repeat (usually greater than 400), appears to lead to ribonucleic acid aggregates within the nucleus and suppression of gene expression. Finding therapies for C9ORF72 will be difficult and require novel therapeutic approaches that involve suppression of the expression of the C9ORF72 repeat

GROWTH IN AGRICULTURAL LOAN MARKET SHARE FOR ARKANSAS COMMERCIAL BANKS

Changes in commercial bank market shares of farm debt are decomposed into portfolio decisions loanable funds availability and loan market size for 64 counties in Arkansas from 1986 through 1990. A seemingly unrelated regression model is hypothesized to identify county characteristics that are related to changes in commercial bank market shares. Regression results indicate that county differences in economic activity, the relative risk associated with agriculture, farm structure and regional location contributed to changes in commercial bank market shares. DEBT DEPRECIATION, CONGLOMERATION, AND CREDIT CONSTRAINTS: EVIDENCE FROM CATTLE CYCLES

We search for evidence consistent with the notion that endogenous credit constraints play a role in cattle cycles. Beef cow inventories are found to be more sensitive to credit constraints during periods of falling than rising asset values.
